I visited Israel and Palestine in 2018 with an organization called Meet The Middle East.

The organization is dedicated to “Fostering relationships between the US and Middle East” by educating US citizens about the Middle East and the different cultures, religions and people that occupy that region.

I was a Youth Ambassador in their Youth Ambassadors program, a 5 month program that teaches identity, conflict resolution and negotiation, listening and dialogue and the religions of the Middle East, culminating in a case study on the Israeli and Palestinian conflict. At the end of the program, Ambassadors take a 10-day immersion trip to Israel and Palestine, and apply the lessons learned in the program in real life scenarios with a variety of people on both sides of the conflict.
