PSFA is the Peninsula School Feeding Association in Cape Town, South Africa. They feed over 26,000 impoverished children at school every day to help end child hunger and increase school attendance.
When I interned at LIFE Brand between May- August 2023, I helped run our client’s social media. My work included:
- Designing and Facilitating #BlistersOnline
- Creating a Women’s Month Campaign
- Developing Daily Posts in Month-Long Content Plans
- Crafting Graphics/ Text
- Publication on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In
#BlistersOnline
#BlistersOnline is an Instagram challenge that parallels the in-person charity walk Blisters for Bread. This year, participants in-person were challenged to walk barefoot, so #BlistersOnline asks participants to post their own barefoot activity and register on the PSFA website for a chance to win a free two-night stay at a local hotel. The campaign was launched in July 2023 and ends at the end of August 2023.
My roles in creating and facilitating this campaign include the following:
- Inventing the original idea and reworking it to meet business standards
- Proposing and defending #BlistersOnline to my supervisors at LIFE Brand, our client PSFA, as well as to sponsors and corporate partners
- Developing the structure for the campaign
- Redesigning the website for user efficacy and #BlistersOnline information
- Producing our own content and partnering with Heart FM radio to create content
- Promoting the campaign in articles, social media posts, flyers, and radio and TV advertisements

Women’s Month Campaign
In celebrating Women’s Month 2023, I developed an appreciation campaign for the women who work at PSFA. The goal in doing this was to highlight some of the women who dedicate their time and energy to an incredible organization.
For this campaign, I facilitated a photo shoot of the women and wrote copy to accompany the portraits online.
General Content
I planned the social media for PSFA using Google Sheets. I color-coded the plan to help distinguish between the categories of posts and used Google Sheets for ease of access and real-time edits working with the entire team.
Below are some images showing the social media plan and the graphic that was created based on it.
